Synopsis
Pan Pan zeigt einen Roadtrip einer Patchwork-Familie in der nahen Zukunft, die aus den dystopischen Prognosen der Vergangenheit eine Perspektive reich an neuen Verbindungen und Möglichkeiten erlebt. Ihr biomechanisches Fahrzeug hat eigene Vorstellungen vom Ziel der Reise und führt sie auf ungewohnte Wege. Unterwegs in den vom Krieg zerstörten Gebieten entdecken sie neue Formen von Natur und sozialen Strukturen. Die Geschichte wird dabei überwiegend aus der Perspektive der dreijährigen Pan Pan erzählt, die einfache Fragen stellt, auf die es nicht immer eindeutige Antworten gibt.

The story is about letting go and the desire to keep moving. A biomechanical vehicle interacts with the environment and passengers, acting like a living organism. It explores the connection between body, technology, and nature, promoting a gentle and sensual way of living. The narrative delves into the idea of an interconnected world and the risks of confusion. Drawing inspiration from Donna Haraway's concept of the Chthuluzän, this tale offers an alternative to the Anthropocene, emphasizing coexistence and decay on Earth. The relationship between characters and the vehicle requires empathy for the journey to continue, viewing the vehicle as a sentient being rather than just a tool. It portrays acting with subtlety and care, rejecting ruthlessness.
